Responsibilities: - Safely operate a commercial vehicle, Transporting Containers from Port to Addressess in the UK - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations - Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and inform on site fitters of any issues. - Communicate effectively with planners, customers, and team members - Complete necessary paperwork, such as POD's and daily inspection reports Qualifications: - Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record - Proven experience as a HGV Class 1 Driver - Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations - Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Valid and up to date Driver CPC and Tacho Cards - Preferably have a Southampton Port ID card already but can put the driver through if required Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
