We are looking to recruit an experienced Engineer to take a leading role in helping to deliver a varied range of schemes. The schemes will range from small highway improvements to large residential and commercial developments. We require the applicant to have a degree in Civil Engineering (or other appropriate qualification) and will have gained in-depth experience in the designing access junctions. The stages of design experience are to include concept development through to detailed design. Our ideal candidate will have a passion and experience of designing LTN1/20 compliant cycling infrastructure schemes. The applicant will ideally have 3d modelling and drainage design experience whilst having experience of delivering Section 278 detailed designs. It is essential that the applicant has knowledge and experience of local authority and National Highways processes/requirements. The ideal candidate will also have experience and knowledge of the following: National design standards and best practice (i.e. DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN1/20, NRSWA etc) Adoption agreements for roads and drainage (including S278, S38 & S104) Highway and drainage adoption processes and legal requirements for S278, S38 and S104. Comprehensive understanding and use of software packages including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Vehicle Tracking, KeyLINES/SIGN/POST and Flow. Strong communication skills. Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to maintain good records. Experience managing tasks to delivering projects on time and to a budget. Ability to mentor junior members of staff. The ability to produce technical reports.
