CMM Quality Inspector Location: Stroud Hours: Double Days Shift Rotation Salary: 36,420 Type: Permanent Key Responsibilities of a CMM Inspector: Operate and programme CMM equipment to inspect precision-engineered components Create and maintain measurement routines for in-process and final inspection Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T requirements Produce dimensional inspection reports and measurement records Carry out calibration and routine maintenance of inspection equipment Investigate and report non-conformances through NCR processes Support NPI projects and the introduction of new products Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to resolve quality issues Ensure measurement systems remain compliant and repeatable Maintain high standards of housekeeping within inspection areas Key Skills of a CMM Inspector: Previous experience operating and programming CMM equipment Experience with Mitutoyo and/or Aberlink systems desirable Strong understanding of GD&T Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience using micrometers, verniers, thread gauges and other inspection equipment Knowledge of MSA and Gauge R&R principles desirable Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good IT skills and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
