The Role BDO's Tax Accounting Group is a national group bringing together tax professionals who specialise in tax accounting and tax audit work. Headed by an equity partner, we can offer an exciting and quality career path for ambitious people. This role as Audit of Tax Senior Manager will provide tax audit support on our largest, high-profile audits across a range of groups and sectors. Just as key will be acting as a tax accounting specialist to our non-audit clients, assisting with complex provisioning engagements and the tax accounting aspects of GAAP conversions, carve out accounting and acquisition accounting. Clients and audited entities include FTSE companies, AIM listed companies, large inbounds and private equity backed businesses. You will be responsible for a number of tax audits, acting as the point of contact with the main audit team, and working closely with junior staff and tax partners to deliver this work. You will also work on a number of ad hoc, project based engagements working with other BDO teams, using your tax accounting knowledge in different contexts to deliver the best to our clients. You will act as a key contact for tax accounting queries for the wider tax and audit practices and be involved in coaching and training more junior members of the team. We're looking for someone with: Prior experience of tax accounting and tax auditing, with a clear desire to specialise in this area. Knowledge of tax accounting under FRS102 and IFRS; prior experience of US GAAP is useful but not obligatory. General corporate tax experience providing corporate tax advisory and compliance services to a variety of clients. Good project management skills, including meeting agreed deadlines, taking ownership and managing a team. Experience of coaching and training more junior staff. Experience of dealing with client senior management and key stakeholders.
