We have immediate opportunities available for either MRICS or FRICS chartered surveyors nationwide. These are long term, Freelance / Self-employed roles with exceptional earning potential. Our client has developed their own, easy to use, question based, iOS based, on-site software, which is fully court compliant, this enables concise information to be captured during such visits and ensures that longhand reports and Scott Schedules being typed out later at your desk are consigned to history. These roles are ideally suited to surveyors who would like to build up their exposure to building pathology and expert witness work, their current work portfolio covers mainly housing disrepair, but also includes large loss surveying, and various other related disciplines. Role Description This is a remote role for a MRICS or FRICS Building Surveyor on a freelance basis. As a chartered surveyor, you will be responsible for a range of activities that include inspecting houses and apartments, conducting surveys, and assessing defects and producing associated repair specifications. You will work independently but with the full backing of a supportive team. Qualifications Hold an MRICS or FRICS professional designation. Have extensive experience in Building Surveying. You will have a working understanding of HHSRS and the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985. Demonstrate knowledge and experience in producing repair specifications. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have good analytical and problem-solving skills. Have proficiency with Microsoft Office and Apple iOS devices and be comfortable with remote work technology. Freelance Level 3 Homebuyers Surveyor Location: Flexible / Remote with Site Visits Required Contract Type: Freelance / Self-Employed Rate: Competitive, per survey (dependent on experience and location) About the Role We are seeking an experienced and qualified Level 3 Homebuyers Surveyor to join our growing network of property professionals on a freelance basis. This role is ideal for a surveyor who values flexibility while delivering high-quality residential property surveys and reports to homebuyers across the region. Key Responsibilities Conduct Level 3 Homebuyers Surveys on residential properties. Inspect and assess property condition, identifying defects, risks, and maintenance issues. Produce clear, accurate, and professional survey reports within agreed timescales. Communicate findings effectively with clients where required. Manage your own diary and appointments while maintaining excellent service standards. Ensure compliance with all relevant RICS standards and industry regulations. Requirements MRICS or FRICS qualified (preferred). Proven experience carrying out Level 3 Building Surveys. Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and property defects. Excellent report-writing and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. Professional Indemnity Insurance (or willingness to obtain appropriate cover).
