World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage is currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Controller subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract. The department is currently looking to recruit two Manufacturing Controllers to support operations. One position will require forklift truck (FLT) experience, supporting material movements and stock handling within the stores environment. The second position is a general stores / manufacturing controller role, focused on supporting material control and ensuring components and stock are available to meet production requirements within the manufacturing area. Hourly Rate: 25.26 per hour. Overtime Rate: Hours worked over 37 hours per week, are worked at the Overtime rate of time and a half. Contract Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter) Manufacturing Controller Job Description: The Manufacturing Controller role will involve issue, receipt and management of stores and inventory in a stores environment. Loading, control and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: Stock control / storekeeping including shelf life control. Loading the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs in accordance with planned lead and cycle times, in order to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules. Packing including the use of hand tools. Receiving and issuing of tooling. Updating computer records. Kitting activity. Loading and unloading of Lorries. Skillset/experience required: Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control. Follow instructions. Willing to work flexible shift patterns. Attention to detail. Work on own with minimal supervision. Use own initiative. Manual handling training. Lifting & Slinging training (Including overhead cranes). ESD training. Desirable skills: PC skills, including EXCEL. Fork lift truck licence. Knowledge of Kanban and 2 bin systems. Experience with an Enterprise Planning System e.g. SAP.

STOCK CONTROLLER REQUIRED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE Are you an experienced Stock Controller, Warehouse Operative or Goods in Operative with a proven background in logistics, and do you hold either a Counterbalance or Reach forklift license?! We are helping a manufacturing business based in Telford to recruit a Stock Controller, the working hours for this role will either be a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern, or a fixed day shift 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday, the starting pay rate will depend on experience but the starting top end pay rate would be £13.00 per hour. Previous experience within the plastics manufacturing industry would be highly advantageous, as well as someone who holds a certificate or qualification within warehousing or logistics. The hiring manager would like someone who has got some ERP system experience, and someone that holds either a Counterbalance or Reach forklift license. Someone who has previously worked as a Stock Controller, Warehouse Operative, Goods in Operative, Logistics Controller, FLT Driver, FLT Counterbalance Driver, FLT Reach Driver or Inventory Controller would be well received. What You Will Do: Ensure the warehouse, shipping, and inventory processes align with established procedures and standards. Maintain all warehouse equipment in a clean and safe working condition while adhering to housekeeping rules. Accurately label and organise all products with item numbers, lot numbers, and quantities. Pick, prepare, and transfer finished goods and raw materials for both internal and external customers, ensuring adherence to FIFO principles. Manage hazardous raw materials storage while identifying opportunities for process improvements within the department. Provide support and assistance to all departments, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication. What You Will Bring: Previous experience in warehouse and shipping operations, ideally within the plastics or manufacturing industry. An FLT Counterbalance or Reach forklift license Previous ERP system experience Strong organisational, multitasking, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of health and safety practices, including the handling of hazardous products. IT proficiency and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
