Our client, a leading and expanding manufacturing organisation, established for over 30 years in Tamworth, is seeking Senior Media Relations Executive to join their well-established team This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PR and communications professional to join a highly successful and growing organisation, taking ownership of media relations activity across a portfolio of well-established brands. Salary is between £35,000 to £38,000 depending on experience. Hours of work are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Please note this is an office-based position. As the Senior Media Relations Executive, you will be: Developing and delivering media relations strategies aligned with wider business objectives. Creating high-quality content including thought leadership articles, technical features, press releases, case studies, award submissions and business updates. Identifying and developing compelling stories from across the organisation. Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors and key industry publications. Managing media outreach campaigns to secure high-value coverage across trade and digital media. Monitoring media activity, industry trends and competitor coverage. Supporting reputation management initiatives and crisis communication planning. Managing press office activity and responding to media enquiries. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels. Leading PR planning activity and providing strategic communications guidance where required. We are looking for an experienced communications professional who can demonstrate: Significant experience in a Media Relations, PR or Communications role. Outstanding copywriting and editorial skills. Experience producing content for trade, technical or industry-focused publications. A proven track record of building successful relationships with journalists and media contacts. Strong strategic thinking alongside hands-on delivery capability. Experience developing and executing integrated communications plans. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. A proactive, self-motivated approach with a keen eye for identifying media opportunities. Desirable Experience: Experience within the electrical, construction, manufacturing or technical sectors. Knowledge of reputation management and crisis communications. Understanding of the trade media landscape. Experience uncovering and developing stories that enhance brand visibility and reputation.
