Senior Quantity Surveyor Our client, a leading consultancy in the power utilities sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Birmingham, UK. This is a permanent position within the power distribution and T&D (Transmission and Distribution) industry. Key Responsibilities: Provide commercial leadership at framework and project levels, focusing on cost-value reconciliation Develop and apply subcontracts using NEC3 or NEC4 (Option A & C) forms within the power sector Coordinate effectively with wider project teams on cost and risk management Conduct monthly internal and client reporting in accordance with established procedures Optimize cash flow through activity schedules, monthly valuations, and control of subcontractor accounts Drive recovery of outstanding monies and ensure timely resolution of queries Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and change events Prepare and manage sub-contracts throughout the project lifecycle, including Final Account agreements Job Requirements: Experience within the power transmission and distribution sector In-depth experience with NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract (Options A & C) Proficient in cost estimation, subcontract enquiries, and compensation events Strong commercial and contractual acumen Excellent computer literacy, particularly with MS Office suite Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related subject Chartership or working towards chartership through RICS or a similar accredited institution Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting deadlines Benefits: Opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects Professional development and training opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Comprehensive employee benefits package Potential for career growth and progression If you are an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity to advance your career in the power utilities sector, we would love to hear from you.
