Qualifications and experience The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience. * Comes from Software Engineering background with infrastructure experience. * 5+ years of development experience with a strong focus on large-scale, distributed systems. * Proficient in Python, Golang and PostgreSQL. * Experience with Liquibase or similar tools for database change management and version control. * Hands-on experience with AWS/GCP, including cloud-native services, storage, IAM, and KMS. * Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (eg, Terraform), CI/CD tools (eg, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and containerization. * Strong understanding of security principles in cloud and enterprise systems. * Familiarity with audit and compliance considerations in regulated industries, particularly finance or banking. * Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences. * A successful track record of delivering complex projects and/or programmes, using appropriate techniques and tools to ensure and measure success. Essential Skills * Demonstrable experience of: o Public Cloud. o Linux. o Relational and NoSQL databases. o Integration services such as messaging and streams. o Building RESTful API Services. o Containerisation, Kubernetes, serverless functions. o Microservices, and distributed tracing. o Enterprise logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks (eg, ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana). * Experience working within an Agile environment. * Programming experience in following languages: Golang & Python. * Good understanding of cryptography (authentication, data encryption). * Ability to quickly acquire new skills and tools. * Good non-functional testing experience.
