We are looking for candidates for the following positions: Turning / Milling Machinist Plating Technician High Precision Grinder Operator Diamond Setter CNC Machinist / Setter Operator These roles support the manufacture of high-quality, precision-engineered rotary dresser products used across advanced manufacturing industries. You will be working within a highly skilled engineering environment where components are produced to extremely tight tolerances, supporting customers in demanding sectors such as aerospace, automotive, bearing, and powertrain industries. Saint-Gobain Abrasives is part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, a worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction. Our Abrasives business develops and manufactures innovative grinding, cutting, finishing and precision-engineered solutions that help customers achieve outstanding performance. Those are permanent roles working Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm, Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm. Following successful completion of probation, you will also benefit from a flexible working hours policy, allowing you to work your 8-hour shift between 6am and 6pm. What we're looking for Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or precision production environment Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications Experience working to tight tolerances using precision measuring and inspection equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work A proactive, safety-conscious approach with a focus on housekeeping and continuous improvement Ability to follow technical instructions and work both independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively Willingness to learn and develop new skills across different manufacturing processes What you will be doing Setting up and operating manufacturing and machining equipment to produce precision-engineered components to exact specifications Carrying out machining, finishing, plating, assembly, or related production processes depending on role requirements within the cell Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, and production documentation Carrying out in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with tight tolerances Supporting process control activities, including recording production data and completing documentation systems such as SAP Maintaining equipment, tools, and work areas to high standards, ensuring safety and efficiency Supporting production flow through stock control, materials handling, and communication with engineering and production teams Contributing to continuous improvement activities, including lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives Supporting quality, safety, and environmental standards across all manufacturing activities Is Saint-Gobain an inclusive employer? Attain machine setting skills to enable machine set ups in line with Company requirements Understanding of engineering drawings, ensuring that fixtures are correctly aligned.
