This is a strong permanent opportunity for someone with fire safety surveying experience who wants a varied role across residential buildings, with ownership of fire risk actions, remedial works, contractor quality and completed works. You will be carrying out pre and post inspections, preparing specifications, managing contractors, checking fire safety works and making sure defects are identified, recorded and resolved to the right standard. Essential experience Experience as a Fire Surveyor, Building Surveyor, Compliance Surveyor or similar within a residential or maintenance environment NEBOSH Fire qualification or equivalent Experience carrying out pre and post inspections on fire related works Working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 Experience managing contractors across SOR and non-SOR contracts Ability to produce detailed specifications and scopes of work Good understanding of building regulations, health and safety legislation, standards and materials Strong knowledge of construction, design and fire related defects Knowledge of contract management and contractor performance Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle This role would suit someone who enjoys being out on site, dealing with technical detail and seeing works through from inspection to completion.
