Senior Design Engineer Ayelsbury,HP19 The Senior Design Engineer leads a multidisciplinary design team in delivering high-performance heat exchanger systems. As the technical right-hand to the Engineering Manager, this role ensures design quality, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance across the entire product lifecycle. Duties and Responsibilities: Design pressure vessels and heat exchangers to ASME, PED, and TEMA standards Create and review 3D CAD models, fabrication drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) Apply design-for-manufacture principles and support troubleshooting during production Conduct mechanical calculations and assist with FEA simulations Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory codes Maintain and enforce detailed design standards across product types Ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing through structured design reviews Consider welding sequences, tolerances, and accessibility in designs Collaborate with QA/QC teams to define inspection and NDT requirements Support the Applications team in R&D and product development activities Contribute to the development and maintenance of a Product Data Management (PDM) system Maintain document control and revision tracking within the PDM Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement to streamline release processes Integrate PDM systems with ERP for accurate BOM and part number control Software & Tools: 3D CAD Software (e.g., SolidWorks, Solid Edge) Product Data Management tools (e.g., EPDM) ERP systems (e.g., Epicor) Microsoft Office Suite Apply : Call (phone number removed) or send your CV to (url removed).
