HLTA Behaviour & Intervention Specialist Liverpool £110 £150 per day Full-Time TeacherActive are looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an alternative provision in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner with a background in behaviour intervention training to support young people who face barriers to learning. The school provides a fresh start for pupils who have struggled in mainstream education, including those who have been permanently excluded. With small class sizes, a nurturing approach, and a strong focus on behaviour and wellbeing, the team work tirelessly to ensure every pupil has the chance to succeed. The Role: Deliver behaviour interventions and targeted support to individuals and small groups. Support teaching and learning across the curriculum as a HLTA. Implement de-escalation strategies and behaviour management techniques consistently. Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals to support holistic development. Lead ESLA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) interventions where possible. The Ideal Candidate: HLTA qualification (or significant classroom experience at HLTA level).
