About the team Our Property and Facilities team is responsible for ensuring Shelter's estate is fit for purpose and fully compliant for its staff, volunteers and clients. We provide a full range of professional services, including acquisitions, disposals, rent and lease negotiations, rating, estates management, building surveying, strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, health & safety and facilities management. We also support all office and shop relocations, refurbishments and planned maintenance projects, while our portfolio comprises one freehold head office property in London, 24 leasehold offices and around 90 leasehold shops across England and Scotland. About the role You will be responsible for all property related matters across Scotland and England for our diverse portfolio. That will involve making regular site visits, with occasional overnight stays. As well as ensuring all lease events are managed and actioned and properties are safe, maintained and fully compliant, we'll also rely on you to assist with the development and implementation of robust policies, processes and systems to help manage the estate in an efficient and cost-effective manner. In short, it's an incredibly varied role that will see you make a real difference in how Shelter's commercial estate is managed. Role Specifics You'll need a degree level qualification in a surveying/property related discipline and full RICS membership . A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a specialist Generic Housing Officer to join one of Adecco Public Sector's most improved housing clients in a permanent post. The salary is paying 42,000 per annum, and it's a non car driving role. In addition, office attendance will be hybrid (2 days each week). Service Charges: Understanding all services and charges provided to estates, properties and communal areas and checking the quality of services provided to ensure these represent value for money. Rent Arrears: Chasing residents for any arrears, and attending court if necessary. ASB: Tackling and reducing the effects of anti-social behaviour on estates and in communal areas. Ensuring agents comply with contractual obligations and monitor the quality of work. Housing sector knowledge: including knowledge around property management, service charges, health and safety, personal safety and working with vulnerable people. Monitoring the financial costs of managing properties and scrutinise service charges (desirable). Previous experience of working in housing management in a regulated social housing environment, as well as a good understanding of housing legislation and regulation, tenancy rights and landlord responsibilities would be highly desirable. About the Role The Sales Support Executive plays a pivotal role in supporting the Sales department, working closely with Account Managers, Business Development Managers, Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs), our direct sales teams, and both onshore and offshore, as well as Customer Operations. The primary focus of the role is to drive contract conversions, ensuring timely and accurate completion. You will liaise with TPI suppliers to maximise conversion volumes, which may include preparing and issuing quotes. In addition, you will provide essential sales support to the Account Management and Business Development teams, contributing to the overall success of acquisition efforts. Collaboration with the Customer Transition Team will be key to ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new customers. As part of your responsibilities, you will create and issue customer contracts, maintain accurate records within Salesforce (and Microsoft Dynamics when live) and GCW, and ensure contract hierarchies are correctly structured in line with agreed water and wastewater terms. This includes assigning contracts to the appropriate reporting and billing groups and conducting quality checks following any additions or amendments in our billing system (GCW). You will also be expected to provide cover for the Contracts Manager when required. About you Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a Sales Support function. You must have experience of working with salesforce (or similar CRM system) GCW, Microsoft Office, pdf writer and knowledge of Power BI. You will have a proven record of effectively prioritising and organising own workload to deliver against appropriate deadlines and/or meeting KPIs and the ability to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail. You must have an understanding of pricing, contracts and TPI commission. You will have proven ability to quickly build positive and productive relationships with customers both internally and externally demonstrating a passion for our products, discerning opportunities to make sure customers are fully informed about our products and services; generating and passing potential business development opportunities across the business. You will be confident in using financial information to encourage customers to respond positively to our product and service offerings and have experience in working with TPI suppliers and managing relationships. Excellent communication skills are essential with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently; adapting communication style to suit stakeholders. What's in it for you?
