Key Responsibilities as a Quality Inspector: Inspect precision components using metrology and manual measurement equipment Measure components to supplied CAD models and engineering drawings Create, run and output measurements from CMM programs where required Maintain calibration and tooling records for measurement equipment Work confidently with engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, revisions, symbols and layouts Carry out inspection in line with ISO 9001 or higher manufacturing standards Provide feedback to Production Engineering to improve programs and machining methods Support health and safety standards across the site Requirements for the Quality Inspector role: Minimum 2 years' experience inspecting precision components Experience working in a manufacturing environment to ISO 9001 or higher, such as AS9100 Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Good understanding of geometric tolerances, revisions, symbols and layouts Competent using manual inspection and metrology equipment Good Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word Excellent communication skills Able to work professionally under pressure Proactive, self-motivated and quality focused Able to work independently and as part of a team Desirable experience for the Quality Inspector role: Previous CMM inspection experience Ability to create, run and output measurements from CMM programs Offline CMM programming experience Experience using Aberlink software Background in machining or precision engineering Previous CAD/CAM experience Experience working within AS9100 environments What's Offered for the Quality Inspector role: Excellent rates of pay based on previous experience and ability Half-day finish every Friday Overtime opportunities where available Company salary sacrifice pension scheme after 3 months' satisfactory performance Mileage subsidy to and from work Uniform and PPE provided Onsite parking Cycle to work scheme 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays Company shutdown over Christmas and New Year Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
