As a Social Housing Reactive Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our social housing units. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of properties, ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents. Your key responsibilities will include: Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors in responding to reactive maintenance requests. Inspect properties to identify repair and maintenance needs, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Coordinate the allocation of work orders, scheduling repairs, and managing the team's daily activities. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, materials used, and costs incurred. Monitor budgets and costs, making recommendations for cost-effective solutions. Build positive relationships with residents and address their concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination on housing-related matters. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies. Provide regular reports and updates to management regarding the status of maintenance operations. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in maintenance management or related fields is a plus. Proven experience in social housing or property maintenance, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. Knowledge of SOR codes Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance, repair, and renovation. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer applications. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced supervisor to join a busy and well-established contract, overseeing the delivery of void property works and ensuring homes are turned around efficiently and to a high standard. The Role Working as part of the operational team, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of void refurbishments, ensuring properties are ready for occupation within agreed timescales and client expectations. SSSTS Site Supervisor (Roofing Works) Job Specification Role Overview We are seeking a SSSTS-qualified Site Supervisor to oversee roofing works on live construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operatives, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to a high standard of quality. Key Responsibilities Supervise all roofing activities (flat, pitched, or specialist systems depending on project) Manage site operatives, subcontractors, and deliveries Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations , RAMS, and company procedures Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks Monitor quality of installation and ensure works meet specifications and drawings Coordinate programme of works to meet deadlines Liaise with Site Managers, clients, and other trades on-site Ensure correct use of PPE and safe working practices (working at height critical) Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports and H&S documentation Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently Essential Requirements SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) valid Proven experience supervising roofing projects Strong knowledge of: Working at height regulations Roofing systems (e.g. felt, single ply, tiles, slates, liquid coatings) Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Good leadership and communication skills CSCS Card (Supervisor level) First Aid at Work (preferred)
