Your role will involve assessment of value, performance, and viability of assets and making recommendations regarding retention, transfer, or disposal. You will engage directly with stakeholders, including town and parish councils, and produce clear, evidence-based reports to support decision-making. Undertake asset reviews across a varied property portfolio. Carry out valuations and market appraisals. Advise on disposal strategies and asset rationalisation. Engage with internal and external stakeholders. Support the development of business cases and option appraisals. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and professional standards. What you'll need to succeed Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Experience within local authority estates or public sector property. Asset Manager (Estates & Facilities) Location - West London (Hybrid) Duration - 6 months (Initially) Ir35 - Inside (Must use an umbrella company) The Estates Asset Manager is an essential role within the Estates and Facilities Directorate, reporting to the Estates Development Manager, they will be responsible for managing built assets, including but not limited to insurance, utilities, landlord and tenant matters, statutory and regulatory compliance, rates and council tax and space utilization. Responsible for the effective support and interface with estates capital projects, planned and reactive maintenance works, sustainability and the development of estates systems and networks. Ensure a robust and up to date Asset Register is in place and current at all times. Manage lease and tenancy agreements Lead rent reviews, lease renewals, and repairs to maximize asset value Liaise with agents, surveyors, solicitors, contractors, and auctioneers Mange all Insurance requirements Manage information for Investors and Development Partners Manage Rates and Council Tax matters Mange Valuations and Service Charge budgets and invoicing Support property inspections to facilitate maintenance and refurbishments Handle tenant matters including assignments, licenses, and lease queries Collaborate with accounts on service charge budgets, rent raising, and reconciliations Oversee insurance, health & safety, and compliance matters Review asset performance and support asset repositioning strategies Maintain property databases and prepare detailed client reports Manager EPC and DEC Certification

Working across a broad commercial real estate portfolio, this position will support Building Consultancy, Sustainability and Project teams with specialist electrical engineering expertise across refurbishment, asset improvement and decarbonisation projects. This opportunity would suit an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer looking to step into a more senior, client facing role with greater autonomy, leadership responsibility and a clear pathway towards Principal level. The Opportunity The successful individual will play a key role in leading electrical engineering projects across commercial office, mixed use and wider real estate assets, while collaborating closely with Surveyors, Sustainability Consultants, Project Managers and external stakeholders. The role combines technical delivery, project leadership and strategic building performance advisory work.
