Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join their growing engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, fitting, installation, and testing of bespoke tooling systems, fixtures, manipulators, and engineered mechanical solutions manufactured in-house. This is a hands-on role suited to an individual with strong mechanical assembly experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work from engineering drawings within a precision manufacturing environment. Good understanding of safe working practices when using fabrication tools and equipment. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing production demands. Desirable Criteria NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding, Pipefitting, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Previous experience in a Senior or Lead Fabricator position. Strong background in manual pipe fitting. Experience applying lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Welding Carry out MIG welding to a high standard on steel, aluminium, and other materials as required.
