As part of a specialist team, you'll be working on the latest generation of Submarines, Either Astute or Dreadnought Projects. Shipwright - Fabrication, assembly, installation of Steelworks, Woodwork and composite structures and supporting activities. Manufacture - Pre-fabrication and manufacture of steelworks, structures and items. Pay rates BAE Systems offers a range of pay rates for PAYE and Umbrella contractors, depending on your allocated shifts, and the distance you're travelling to reach the Barrow Site. What You ll Bring We re looking for people who know their craft and take pride in their work: Marking-off skills (datums & centrelines) Assembly, fairing & alignment of major components Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Experience cutting steel (band saws, plasma, etc.) Installation & alignment of key components (e.g. hull penetrations, seating, casings) Pay & Shifts 3 on / 4 off days Locals: £24.12 PAYE Non-locals: £32.12 PAYE Nights Locals: £26.73 PAYE Non-locals: £34.73 PAYE Umbrella rates available Minimum 37 hours per week Overtime available (not guaranteed) 33 days holiday incl. bank holidays Additional: Trade test & Security Clearance required before starting Qualifications: Served and approved Apprenticeship Apply Now: Attach your up-to-date, task-specific CV .
