We are recruiting a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor specialising in Mechanical Services to lead commercial management across Southwark Councils major Individual and District Heating contracts, Water Hygiene and Building Energy Management Systems, managing over 8,000 jobs per month. This is a specialist, high-value, high-complexity role, central to the delivery of safe, compliant and resilient heating and water services for thousands of residents. This position covers some of the Councils largest contracts, where annual contract values exceed £20m and involve complex technical and statutory requirements. We're looking for someone who can confidently navigate major mechanical services contracts and bring rigorous commercial assurance to mission-critical infrastructure. About the Role To carry out the full range of asbestos surveying services, in line with HSG 264, group procedure documents, as well as other associated documents and guidance. This position reports to the Regional Manager of the defined UK region. Key Responsibilities Conduct asbestos surveys. Sampling, reactive sampling and assessment. Conduct statutory re-inspections. To ensure the technical compliance of all work that is carried out, and to liaise closely with the Regional Manager, Quality Manager and Technical Managers / Auditors. Ensure that all asbestos related work is carried out in accordance with company survey procedures. To provide quality services and information to clients, with the need to have knowledge of all current asbestos regulations and guidance, including in relation to health and safety. Attend operational team meetings as and when required. Ensure that reports are completed in accordance with timescales set and to the required standard. Compile recommendations and technically review reports as necessary. To be alert to business opportunities and promote the services of the group, identify inter-company sales opportunities and pass leads. Attend training courses as and when required. Facilities Manager (Commercial Portfolio) - Immediate Start Location: Central London Salary: 55,000 - 60,000 per annum Employment Status: Permanent, Full-Time The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial properties in central London. This is a critical, hands-on position requiring the successful candidate to be on-site five days a week to ensure exceptional service delivery, maintain rigorous health and safety standards, and manage service charge budgets effectively. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, you will be accountable for the full scope of facilities services across your allocated portfolio. Operational Excellence & Customer Experience On-Site Management: Serve as the principal point of contact for all facilities-related advice and guidance for occupiers and visitors.
