As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining the efficient flow of warehouse operations, handling the receipt, processing, packing, and dispatch of orders. This role offers salary range £30,000 - £33,000 and benefits. You will be responsible for: Coordinating the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Monitoring stock levels and ensuring accurate inventory records. Handling customer enquiries and providing quotations where required. Liaising with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams to maintain timely order fulfilment. Planning storage capacity and optimising warehouse space. Producing regular reports and maintaining systems up to date. Supporting aftersales requirements in line with customer needs. What we are looking for: Previously worked as a Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Technician, Warehouse Operator, Warehouse Assistant, Warehouse Coordinator, Warehouse Administrator, Logistics Operative, Warehouse worker, Stock Controller, Inventory Controller or in a similar role. Understanding of health and safety practices within a warehouse setting. A forklift licence would be desirable. Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Sage. Strong organisational and communication skills. STOCK CONTROLLER REQUIRED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE Are you an experienced Stock Controller, Warehouse Operative or Goods in Operative with a proven background in logistics, and do you hold either a Counterbalance or Reach forklift license?! We are helping a manufacturing business based in Telford to recruit a Stock Controller, the working hours for this role will either be a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern, or a fixed day shift 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday, the starting pay rate will depend on experience but the starting top end pay rate would be £13.00 per hour. Previous experience within the plastics manufacturing industry would be highly advantageous, as well as someone who holds a certificate or qualification within warehousing or logistics. The hiring manager would like someone who has got some ERP system experience, and someone that holds either a Counterbalance or Reach forklift license. Someone who has previously worked as a Stock Controller, Warehouse Operative, Goods in Operative, Logistics Controller, FLT Driver, FLT Counterbalance Driver, FLT Reach Driver or Inventory Controller would be well received. What You Will Do: Ensure the warehouse, shipping, and inventory processes align with established procedures and standards. Maintain all warehouse equipment in a clean and safe working condition while adhering to housekeeping rules. Accurately label and organise all products with item numbers, lot numbers, and quantities. Pick, prepare, and transfer finished goods and raw materials for both internal and external customers, ensuring adherence to FIFO principles. Manage hazardous raw materials storage while identifying opportunities for process improvements within the department. Provide support and assistance to all departments, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication. What You Will Bring: Previous experience in warehouse and shipping operations, ideally within the plastics or manufacturing industry. An FLT Counterbalance or Reach forklift license Previous ERP system experience Strong organisational, multitasking, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of health and safety practices, including the handling of hazardous products. IT proficiency and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
