We are recruiting for an experienced Licensing Technician to join a Hertfordshire local authority on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensing professional with experience in taxi licensing, Licensing Act matters and regulatory enforcement to support the delivery of an effective and customer-focused licensing service. Key Responsibilities Process and assess licensing applications in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. Provide advice and guidance to applicants, licence holders, members of the public and stakeholders. Support enforcement activities and investigations relating to licensed premises, vehicles and operators. Prepare correspondence, reports and documentation for internal and external audiences. Participate in Safety Environment Groups and contribute to partnership working initiatives. Maintain accurate records, case files and licensing databases. Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to support regulatory compliance and public safety. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator to support a busy fleet operation, providing essential administrative and customer service support across multiple service areas. Working within a fast-paced office environment, you will play a key role in supporting workshop reception activities, fleet operations and operational systems, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of services.
