WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU Temp to Perm role £14.50 per hour Shift pattern working Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 1:00pm on a Friday Working as part of an experienced production team Opportunity to develop within an industrial manufacturing environment THE BUSINESS The company operates within a busy industrial manufacturing environment, producing high-quality fabricated products that require durable and professional protective coatings. With a strong focus on quality, safety, and production standards, the business ensures that all products are prepared, coated, and finished to meet customer specifications and industry requirements. THE ROLE You will be working as an Industrial Paint Prepper / Sprayer as part of the production team, working alongside an experienced painter. Some of your tasks will include: Preparing goods for painting through grinding, sanding, chipping, cleaning, and other surface preparation methods Applying protective coatings, including primers, epoxies, intumescent coatings, and top coats using air-assisted airless spray equipment Reading and interpreting paint specifications, coating systems, and engineering/job drawings Mixing paints and coatings in line with manufacturer specifications, ensuring correct ratios and viscosity Operating and maintaining spray painting equipment, including routine cleaning and basic fault checks Monitoring coating thickness and overall finish quality to ensure compliance with specifications Identifying and rectifying coating defects such as runs, dry spray, pinholing, and poor adhesion Following health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the safe handling and storage of hazardous materials Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area, including paint booths and storage facilities Working closely with managers, supervisors, welders/fabricators, and fitters to meet production targets and deadlines Completing all required documentation, including paint records, inspection reports, and quality control forms THE PERSON The business is looking for someone with proven experience in industrial paint preparation and spray painting.
