D.T Technician - Leeds - Immediate Start Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Agency: Veritas Education Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Term-time only Salary: up to £160 per day Veritas Education are working with a secondary school in Leeds seeking an experienced Design & Technology Technician to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, term-time only position, ideal for someone with practical experience in a school setting or relevant workshop environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain tools, equipment, and materials for D.T lessons Support teachers in delivering lessons across all D.T specialisms including Resistant Materials, Electronics, Textiles, Product Design, and ideally Food Technology Ensure all equipment is used safely and health & safety protocols are followed Assist with demonstrations and provide technical guidance to students Carry out maintenance and basic repairs on tools and machinery Requirements: Previous experience as a D.T technician or in a similar practical role Confident handling D.T workshop equipment and materials Good understanding of health & safety procedures in an educational setting Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one What We Offer: Immediate start within a supportive school environment Full-time role during term-time Market leading daily rates with temp to perm options Ongoing support from Veritas Education consultants To apply, contact Veritas Education - Leeds Office today.
