What does the WCA Functional Assessor role involve? The WCA Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work-related ativity. You ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
