Job Purpose: Provide financial support to the account/portfolio across the UK&I region, through financial analysis and valued input to the operational team. Ensure all financial processes are in line with CBRE policy. Please Note: This is a hybrid role. Key Tasks: Complete monthly reconciliation of the payroll, 3rd party costs, projects costs, savings and SG&A items for the UKI sites: Assist in reviewing of local books in order to identify inconsistencies. Provide additional reconciliations for any cost items Complete monthly pass-through reconciliations between CBRE systems & reported numbers. Work with Operations to provide detailed variance commentary in reporting and forecasting activities. Prepare and process the UK&I balance sheet reconciliations and preparing month end journals. Ensure full audit trail of all financial transactions including SOX compliance requirements. Support the delivery of outputs for both Client and CBRE to ensure timeliness and quality of data. Assist with ad hoc activities. Support the wider Central Finance team on all reporting, compliance and audit requirements, collating data and responses as required. Provide reconciliations and updates to monthly packs. Complete monthly adaptive process and variance analysis. Complete actual spend vs. budget (forecast) template on a monthly basis. Build strong working relationships with key Client Finance and Operation stakeholders. Assist with Forecasting and Client related enquiries Assist with Clinet's ad hoc activities. Prepare and manage performance review's with operation teams for UK&I Education: Studying towards recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or national equivalent. Skills: Excellent PC based skills, with experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook - intermediate to advance level skills are essential. Analytical and quantitative skills. Organised and open to new ways of working to challenge inefficiencies. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and able to communicate and develop effective relationships with people at all levels across the account. Ability to solve advanced problems, both independently and working as a team and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas across all levels. Knowledge: Demonstrable experience working in an environment delivering financial information within tight timescales. Please note that this is a hybrid working model with expected travel to the Newcastle office. Successful candidates will attend a two week mandatory training period in the Newcastle office. Purpose of the Role As a Junior Data Analyst you will have the opportunity to be part of The Analytics Support Centre, supporting engagement teams worldwide with data extraction and upload into the custom Analytics platform. Analytics can enhance the quality and efficiency of an audit, as well as deliver meaningful insights to clients. The vision is for analytics to be used on all audits. The Analytics Support Centre is a Cardiff-based delivery centre developed to support engagement teams worldwide with data extraction and upload into the custom Analytics platform. Responsibilities as a Junior Data Analyst Serving as the first point of contact for engagement teams using the Analytics platform for troubleshooting or general functionality queries, providing assistance and guidance in its use. Supporting data acquisition and extraction from clients' accounting systems. Handling the manipulation and upload of complex data sets from various finance systems across multiple business areas and clients into the platform. Maintaining a high-level understanding of the system being supported and using Microsoft SQL to troubleshoot issues raised by the audit practice via the help desk system. Potentially developing and maintaining various bespoke projects outside the analytics platform on a client-by-client basis. Conducting data quality checks, which may need to be escalated to the audit practice or client as necessary. Assisting relevant teams in troubleshooting platform or bespoke solution issues. Candidate Requirements A degree with a 2.2 or above, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a science-related field. Other qualifications will also be considered. Strong working knowledge of Excel (including formulae such as SUM, COUNT, IF, VLOOKUP, ISERROR). Enthusiasm and demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Previous experience working with a structured programming language such as C#, VBA, C++, or SQL is highly beneficial. An understanding of basic accounting principles is beneficial but not required. The role is hybrid working being in the office 2-3 days a week with the remainder of time working from home. It would be expected that you would be fully office based for the first couple of weeks as you learn the role. Standard office hours Monday to Friday with the occasional out of hours requirement in line with business needs. Based in the Limit Control side of the EDLC team you will ensure all limits across the bank are maintained and updated along with any excesses that occur on a daily basis. This will be Derivative limits and also helping to maintain their Trade Finance limits on the GGS system and working closely with other Operations Administration Departments to ensure all systems are correct and as per Credit Approvals. Purpose of Job Proactively provide support to Front Office departments for efficient execution of limit transactions across all bank systems. These are several different limits including Derivative, Money Market and Loan products. Responsibility for the accurate reporting of limit excesses across all EMEA Front Office Departments, ensuring excesses are escalated and followed through to resolution. Provide accurate reconciliations across a multitude of systems to ensure limits and transactions adhere to credit approved applications and credit approved conditions. Input limits to booking systems in relation to Foreign Exchange, Money Market and Overdraft products. Regularly review and maintain internal procedures Ability to multi-task and change priorities at short notice whilst continuing to supply quality service. Promote a control culture to ensure the Section accurately captures all transactions in the Banks core processing systems Constructively challenge and influence change to enhance business performance for the Section and Department Undertakes the role to support the collection and registration of covenant information in the Deal Document Tracking (DDT) system as defined in facility documentation, to include Compliance/Margin Certificates, Financial Statements, Forecasts, and Budgets. Manage and circulate overdue reporting to front office and team heads. Reconciliation between all systems to ensure Credit Approvals are replicated in each system Ensure all daily excesses are investigated and escalated in a timely manner Prepare and Distribute reports relating to limit set up and usage Support project work where required, including necessary system testing. About you Candidate must be an excellent team player with great communication skills to be able to liaise with all members of EDLC and wider departments. They must be well organised and self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to bring a solution-based approach to issues, working with the team to move transactions forward. Demonstrate a proactive attitude and take the initiative to provide high quality levels of service to both our internal and external customers Eager to learn and be able to operate in a team that covers a wide variety of tasks where each area can be busy at different times. The ability to multi task and prioritise workloads efficiently to ensure SLA's are met and all required work is completed to a high standard. Experience & Skills A Level educated (or equivalent), with some exposure or interest in finance, banking, or business operations. Strong willingness to learn and quickly develop knowledge across banking products, including derivatives, FX, and trade finance. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively, particularly during busy reporting periods. Demonstrates a proactive, "can-do" attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable performing high volumes of reconciliations, data checks, and reporting tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and support timely resolution. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
