We're recruiting for a Graduate Design Engineer to join a well establish Engineering Group based in Huddersfield close to the M62 link. As a Graduate Mechanical Design, you will play is a pivotal part of the production process within Engineering and assist the team in the development of new and existing products to meet both industry and customer-specific specifications. The Graduate Design Engineer reports to the Engineering Supervisor and Group Engineering / Technical Manager and works closely with the Research & Development, Sales and Production teams. Key Responsibilities The preparation of General Assembly and manufacturing drawings utilising Autodesk Inventor/CAD packages. The preparation of Bills of Materials within the company's MRP system The preparation of installation, operational and maintenance manuals. The design and development of new and existing pressure related products. Assisting in day-to-day troubleshooting and product performance problem solving. The preparation of valve factory test procedures. This list is not exhaustive. Essential / Desirable Skills Strong design skills applicable to valve design. Understanding of BS8888 drawing standards Excellent 2D and 3D CAD skills, ideally Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively within a team. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with an MRP system.
