Job Title: Panel Wireman/Woman Location: Kington, Herefordshire, HR5 Hours: 24 - 40hrs pw, Monday to Friday, permanent, overtime regularly available Mon to Thu: 08:00 - 17:00 (inc. 30 minutes unpaid lunch break) Friday: 08:00 - 14:00 (no lunch break) Pay Range: £13.26-£16.45 per hour based on experience and capability An opportunity has arisen for either a part time or full-time panel build operative to start immediately. The role will be based in the factory unit at the company's premises in Kington, north Herefordshire, with occasional working on site when required to meet business needs. Working for a well-known and well-respected electrical installation company employing around 54 staff. At the factory unit the company manufactures electrical control panels for the process industry. About the role: We are seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Production & Quality Supervisor to lead a small team building life-safety control panels. Success in this role is measured by defect reduction, compliance with standards, on-time delivery, and developing team capability. Key Responsibilities: Production Supervision: Oversee daily production activities, ensuring safe working practices, quality output, and timely delivery within budget. Supervise and support a team of 3-6 technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance. Plan and coordinate workflow, quickly resolving production or quality issues. Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations on the shop floor. Work closely with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure seamless transition from design to build. Ideal Candidate: Essential: Proven experience in electrical manufacturing or control panel production, ideally in life-safety or building services. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with both supervisory oversight and hands-on testing capability. Excellent knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, including root-cause analysis and corrective action processes. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics. Proficiency in using testing and diagnostic equipment for control panels. Desirable: Level 3 engineering qualification or higher. Direct experience with ISO 9001 audits and compliance. Working knowledge of PLC control panels. Maintenance Engineer Cambridge Area 32,000 - 42,000 To lead both proactive and reactive/breakdown maintenance across all Our Clients sites, focusing on reducing the incident of breakdowns and improving production facilities. Ensuring that machinery and equipment operates smoothly and reliably. THE ROLE The role also takes ownership of all electrical and mechanical work, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. It includes leading agreed facilities projects such as refits, upgrades, and equipment installations, managing work from planning to completion, including snagging and testing. The post ensures all maintenance and project work is carried out safely, efficiently, and reliably to support smooth operations. Key Responsibilities Safety and Compliance - following the rules and regulations related to health and safety in the workplace. Among these are wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), using safe work practices, and understanding emergency procedures. Equipment Inspection and Troubleshooting: - to identify whether work equipment can be operated, adjusted, and maintained safely.
