Our client has a vacancy for an ambitious and proactive Senior Legal Cashier, to join their close-knit, friendly, accounts team. The Senior Legal Cashier will carry out tasks of a Legal Cashier as well as carrying out the additional tasks and responsibilities expected of a Senior Legal Cashier which are set out below. This role is a full-time office-based role. Some of the duties will include: Supporting any queries the legal cashiers may have in the first instance, escalating these queries to the Senior Accounts Manager for support if required. Assisting with the management of the client balances monitor to ensure prompt return of residual monies to include dealing with annual letters. Co-ordinating the checks of out-of-date cheques regularly, stopping and re-issuing where required. Monitoring suspense account and clear down as quickly as possible. Assisting with keeping in control the clearing down bank reconciliations, including assisting with investigating anomalies. Assisting with month end processes. Assisting with training of new members of the cashiering team. Dealing with specific invoices. Ensuring end of day reports are carried out on a daily basis. Covering the specific responsibilities carried out by the individual legal cashiers during periods of holiday or absence to ensure all areas of work are kept up to date. Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the Senior Accounts Manager, as required. Requirements: Knowledge of client accounting system including reconciliation to bank accounts Desireable to have knowledge of SRA rules and regulations relating to client accounts Calm under pressure, team player, flexible and adaptable to changing demands in workload Excellent communication skills Motivated, pro-active and highly organised, with good attention to detail Excellent time management skills Friendly, confident, polite, customer service orientated Due to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application straight away.
