Key Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Fabricate and weld structural steel components using MIG, TIG, Stick, and coded welding techniques Work with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel Use hand and power tools (grinders, saws, drills) to prepare and finish workpieces Conduct quality control checks to ensure all structures meet required specifications Maintain welding equipment and perform basic maintenance checks Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines Key Requirements Minimum 5 years experience fabricating and welding structural steel Proficient in MIG, TIG, Stick, and coded welding Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Good teamwork and communication skills Physically fit and comfortable in a workshop environment Additional Info Hours or work: Monday to Thursday 07:15 - 16:30 Friday 07:45 - 12:45 Pay: £16.41/hr basic Enhanced Pay Rate: £17.41/hr after 5hrs overtime Overtime: Monday to Saturday £24.61/hr Sunday £32.82/hr With over 25 years experience, Quick Staff UK s team connects great people with great jobs nationwide from temporary shifts to long-term careers in manufacturing, office support, warehouse & distribution, and more.
