What you'll be doing: In this role, you prepare surfaces for coating by removing grease, dirt, and contaminants to ensure proper adhesion of spray paint or conformal coatings. You mix paints and chemicals to meet customer specifications, following correct methods and safety regulations. Before work begins, you set up spray equipment, materials, and purpose built spray booths, then operate the spraying systems safely and accurately to achieve high quality finishes on manufactured products. You carry out quality checks using appropriate tools and techniques, addressing any defects through touch up work. The role also includes cleaning and maintaining equipment after use and upholding housekeeping standards to keep the paint and conformal coating areas clean, safe, and compliant for all personnel. Core duties: You will have experience in paint spraying and /or Conformal coating environments You will have the ability to closely follow written instructions and keep records for audit purposes. You will be able to follow strict safety requirements associated with the storage and use of hazardous materials and the disposal of hazardous material waste You will also be able to wear protective clothing including air-fed masks.
