HGV Technician Vacancy! Our client, a reputable Commercial Vehicle Main Dealer in Tamworth, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their dynamic workshop team. This permanent role offers an excellent opportunity for qualified HGV Technicians to develop their careers within a well-established dealership that prioritises ongoing training, quality facilities, and long-term progression. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of Heavy Goods Vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and industry standards. Benefits for the successful HGV Technician: Basic salary with potential earnings up to 50,000 OTE annually Permanent contract with rotating shifts, 45 hours per week 30 days holiday including bank holidays Employer contributory pension scheme Ongoing manufacturer and technical training programmes Opportunities for career progression within a reputable dealership Employee discounts on various products and services Employee Assistance Programme and mental health support Free eye tests for VDU users Free on-site parking, cycle to work scheme, and free flu vaccinations (where eligible) Support for roadside breakdown activities on a rota basis Duties: Servicing and scheduled maintenance of Heavy Goods Vehicles Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment Repairing and replacing vehicle components as required Ensuring work is completed to manufacturer and DVSA compliance standards Maintaining accurate service and repair records Supporting roadside breakdown assistance on a rota basis Working efficiently independently and collaboratively within a team environment Requirements: Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or similar role NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment HGV licence is advantageous but not essential Experience in franchised commercial vehicle environments is beneficial This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join a stable, forward-thinking dealership that values its employees and offers long-term career development.
