Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Enfield, North London Salary: 55,000 - 60,000 + Benefits Job Type: Permanent The Opportunity A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering function at a modern production facility in North London. This opportunity is ideal for a Maintenance Engineer looking to work within a fast-paced, highly automated environment where engineering excellence, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement are at the heart of the operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining production performance, reducing downtime, and driving operational efficiency across the site. Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across manufacturing equipment Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and minimise production disruption Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring failures Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS system Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with Health & Safety requirements Skills & Experience Completed Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent qualification Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, or similar production environments Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills Experience working with automated production equipment and PLC-controlled machinery Knowledge of conveyors, motors, drives, sensors, pumps, and pneumatics Experience using SAP PM, Maximo, Pirana, Shire, CMMS, or similar maintenance management systems Able to work effectively within a 24/7 manufacturing operation What's On Offer?
