A Fabric Technologist with Production experience is needed to join a fast fashion supplier to busy supplier to high street retailers. The Role: Testing fabric and garments to ensure they meet the required standards. Ordering and approving labels and packaging Assisting the Production Manager with the development of multi-products. Working on products from initial design through to the final product. Chasing up production orders, samples, trim orders and shipping documents. Following up bulk fabric test reports. Liaising with overseas factories. Managing critical paths. General ad-hoc duties in accordance with the daily needs of this busy supplier. Skills Required: Knowledge of critical path management. Minimum of 3- 5 years experience gained either with a UK High Street supplier or retailer. Knowledge and experience of fitting garments/products. Knowledge of garment construction. Full IT literate including Excel. Strong communication skills. Excellent organisational skills. Our client is looking for a talented Tailoring & Outerwear Designer to join one of their established womenswear brands, bringing a fresh and contemporary approach to heritage-inspired collections. You will be able to make your mark within a respected design team, working across structured tailoring, smart coordinates and outerwear while helping shape the future direction of the brand. The Role: As Tailoring & Outerwear Designer, you will: Develop seasonal collections across tailoring, smart coordinates and outerwear that reflect the brand's identity while introducing fresh, contemporary ideas. Research emerging trends through inspirational shopping and overseas research trips, sourcing fabrics and identifying key styling directions. Produce detailed CADs, technical packs and design presentations, responding quickly to design briefs within a fast-paced environment. Collaborate daily with Buyers, Merchandisers, Technologists and manufacturing partners to ensure collections are delivered on time and to the highest standard. About You: We're looking for a creative and commercially minded designer who has: Proven experience designing womenswear tailoring and outerwear within a fashion retail or supplier environment. A strong understanding of tailoring construction, garment fit, fabric behaviour and outerwear silhouettes. Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills, with the ability to produce accurate CADs and comprehensive technical packs. Excellent trend awareness and the ability to interpret heritage influences into modern, commercially successful collections. Strong communication and organisational skills, thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced design environment. What's on Offer: Competitive salary of £45,000 - £80,000, depending on experience. Hybrid working available (up to two days per week from home for the successful candidate). Good Company Pension scheme. 25 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays, with the option to purchase additional leave. 25% staff discount, free parking.
