Now due to expansion we are now recruiting for an Ocean Export Operator to join the team at the Birmingham location, working in a key accounts team handling the exports of Petrochemicals Your role will involve: Developing and building relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to customers Ensure freight is moved on time with all the necessary documentation Arrange haulage with shipping lines Ensure all freight is invoiced and checked prior to dispatch Ensure all relevant documents are on hand as required Ensure requests and queries are resolved and actioned quickly and efficiently Communicate with overseas agents, customers and suppliers in a clear precise manner Use customer ERP and SAP systems as and when required In order to apply you will have: Experience of Ocean freight forwarding Movement of chemicals Used to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines Strong numerical and commercial skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail Excellent usage of computer / operating system (Microsoft Windows) along with other office applications (Microsoft Office) (Cargowise - preferable) Proactive, team worker with excellent time management and organisation skills Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated Ideally a dangerous good background Package and Benefits: Salary Circa 32,000 to 35,000, dependent upon experience Bonuses twice a year Pension 22 days holiday to start Working Hours are Mon - Fri 8.30am-5pm, office based.
