This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Power & Energy team delivering critical substation design projects across the UK and internationally. Working with major clients including National Grid, SSEN Transmission, and other leading energy organisations, you will contribute to projects spanning Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through to Detailed Design across electricity transmission and distribution networks. This role offers excellent professional development, exposure to high-profile infrastructure projects, and ongoing support towards Chartership. The Role As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, providing technical leadership across a range of HV substation and primary plant design projects. You will work collaboratively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Operate in a senior capacity within the Electrical Engineering team Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships Interface directly with clients to understand requirements and support project delivery Lead FEED studies and Detailed Design activities for T&D projects Provide technical oversight and quality assurance across engineering deliverables Support bid preparation, tender submissions, and project planning activities Review and coordinate HV plant design aspects including: Layouts and elevations Maintenance access drawings Earthing design and reports Mechanical interlocking HV busbar calculations Technical specifications for HV equipment Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams Lead and participate in design reviews and hazard review meetings Conduct site visits where required Support business development and identify client opportunities Act as Principal Designer Representative where required About You We are looking for motivated engineers who are passionate about delivering innovative engineering solutions and supporting the UK's energy transition.
