Taking responsibility for both an Ops team (of 5-6) and an Engineering team (3-4), you'll initially build them into a combined DevOps function to manage the ongoing development and maintenance of the business's core product. Built on Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS and .net/web application stacks, the product is the source of the bulk of the company's revenue and is mission critical. In addition to the BAU work of establishing a combined DevOps function and managing the ongoing product development, you will be responsible (in conjunction with the CTO and other technical teams) for starting to break up the product and migrate it to a modern cloud stack, alongside the other company products. This will involve the ability to manage significant change; both the team integration, and then migrating services from legacy to cloud platforms, retraining developers and sysops, and over time migrating the entire product away from the current environment. The long term aim for this role is to own the core product and DevOps team in the new, modern environment. The role will need a day a week in the office in Surrey. It's a permanent role and will pay around £90-100K base. For more details contact Justin Sleep with a copy of your resume.
