Manual Machinist - Aerospace & Power Generation We are seeking skilled Manual Machinists to join our clients team, machining centrifugally spun castings for the Aerospace and Power Generation industries. While time-served experience is preferred, it is not essential. You will work with a range of stainless alloys, ensuring high-quality precision machining. Various shifts: 06:00-16:00 Monday to Thursday 20:00-06:00 Monday night start - Friday morning finish Pay: 15.78 - 22.33 Including shift allowances Key Responsibilities: Machine large castings to specified drawings and tolerances. Operate various manual machines, including lathes and horizontal & vertical borers . Ensure production deadlines are met efficiently. Perform visual inspections of machined castings. Properly mark swarf drums for alloy identification . Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision. Maintain safety standards in all activities in line with company procedures. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to produce precise components. Proficiency in working to tight tolerances and using measuring equipment accurately. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Self-motivated but also an effective team player. Flexible approach to work, including overtime and shift work . Solid understanding of health & safety, environmental standards, and quality control . Role- CNC Machinist Location- Bradford Working 07.30-16.30 Monday-Thurs, 07.30-14.00 Friday with possibility of overtime Salary Negotiable up to 18ph We are working with a leading subcontract Engineering company based in Bradford, Specialising in Gear cutting, batch work, high precision components. Looking for a CNC Machinist, Open to someone who needs to continue training and qualifications or an experienced machinist who can hit the ground running. Programming is done offline, Experience of Manual machining would also be an advantage. Experience of using CNC Lathes and millers. Ability to read/ interpret engineering drawings. Online programming and editing essential (Fanuc, Siemens & XYZ controls) Experience in CAD/ CAM such as AutoCAD/ OneCNC beneficial. This is a full time permanent role, offering the change to progress and develop with the company.
