Housing Officer - ASB Focus North London - covering Enfield and surrounding boroughs £22-£24 per hour PAYE 3-month temporary assignment Immediate start We are working with a North London housing association that urgently requires an experienced Housing Officer to join its team on an initial three-month temporary basis. The immediate priority will be to take ownership of an active anti-social behaviour caseload. As the assignment develops, the successful candidate will move into a broader generic Housing Officer remit, supporting residents across a range of tenancy and neighbourhood-management matters. This is a fast-moving appointment, with short Teams interviews available and an immediate start for the right person. The role You will be responsible for: Managing a caseload of anti-social behaviour and neighbour-dispute cases Investigating complaints, gathering evidence and maintaining clear case records Conducting resident interviews and home visits Agreeing action plans and progressing appropriate interventions Issuing warnings and taking proportionate tenancy-enforcement action Working with police, local authorities, safeguarding teams and other partner agencies Supporting vulnerable residents and identifying safeguarding concerns Managing tenancy breaches and wider housing-management issues Responding to complaints and maintaining regular communication with residents Working closely with colleagues across income, repairs and housing services Progressively taking responsibility for a broader generic housing patch About you You will need: Recent experience working as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, Tenancy Officer or ASB Officer Demonstrable experience managing ASB or neighbour nuisance cases The confidence to take ownership of an active caseload with minimal supervision A sound understanding of tenancy management, evidence gathering and enforcement Strong communication, negotiation and case-management skills The ability to work sensitively with vulnerable residents while applying tenancy conditions appropriately Good written skills and accurate case-recording experience The ability to undertake home visits and lone working A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work Immediate or very short-notice availability Experience within a housing association or local-authority housing service is strongly preferred. Rate and assignment The role is offered on an initial three-month temporary contract , paying approximately £22-£24 per hour PAYE , depending on experience. Candidates with strong current ASB case-management experience, immediate availability and the ability to work autonomously may be considered at the top of the range.
