Group Business Development Manager Location: Midlands Salary: 90,000 Job Type: Full time, permanent The Role We are recruiting an experienced Aerospace Business Development Manager to lead commercial growth across civil and military aero-engine markets, including industrial gas turbines. Working across multiple business units, capabilities and manufacturing sites, you will develop the sales pipeline, secure new business and strengthen relationships with existing customers. This position requires extensive aero-engine sales experience and the ability to present technical manufacturing solutions to leading OEMs and other key industry customers. Key Responsibilities Develop new business across civil and military aero-engine markets. Identify opportunities within the industrial gas turbine sector. Manage sales pipelines and future business development across multiple manufacturing sites. Build relationships with aero-engine OEMs and other strategic customers. Position technical manufacturing solutions against customer requirements. Identify customer challenges and recommend suitable products or services. Support existing customers with new programmes, MRO requirements and product reactivation opportunities. Develop proposals, contracts and commercial presentations. Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to achieve a strong return on investment. Work with marketing teams on sector campaigns and targeted OEM engagement. Attend industry events and networking activities to identify prospective clients. Monitor aerospace market developments, government defence initiatives, budgets and live programmes. Represent the customer internally while ensuring opportunities remain commercially beneficial. Support customer meetings at manufacturing sites and customer premises. Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts and identify further growth opportunities. What We're Looking For The successful candidate must have: Extensive sales and business development experience involving aero-engine products. A strong understanding of civil aerospace markets. The ability to develop new customers and generate sustainable revenue. Experience presenting technical manufacturing solutions to OEMs or major industry customers. Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills. The ability to identify customer requirements and develop suitable technical propositions. Excellent networking and relationship-building skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Excellent market research and opportunity-development skills. A professional, approachable and commercially focused manner. A degree in marketing, business administration or a similar subject. Experience within military aerospace or defence sectors would be advantageous. Measures of Success Growth of the aerospace sales pipeline. Increased quotation activity. Engagement with new customers. Stronger relationships with existing accounts. Improved understanding of customer programmes and future requirements. Increased sales from new and existing customers.
