Through a wide range of tailored support services including one-to-one careers guidance, CV writing, interview preparation, and skills training, we have supported over 250,000 people on their journey into work. Our Connect to Work programme, funded by East Midlands Combined Authority, focuses specifically on supporting unemployed participants with complex barriers to employment, including those with a disability or health condition. We provide them with up to 12 months of personalised support to enter or re-enter the workforce. What is the role about? Employment Specialists are the front line of Reed in Partnership, directly contributing to our mission by supporting jobseekers (our participants), engaging with individuals within communities across Derbyshire to generate referrals onto the programme, as well as promoting the benefits of the Connect to Work programme. Our participants are the lifeblood of our business and providing them with an excellent service is at the very core of the Employment Specialist role. Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Taking Ownership Meeting with and supporting a caseload of jobseekers in the community, identifying their barriers and creating tailored action plans to progress them into employment. Delivering personalised, one-to-one guidance to our participants including CV writing, interview preparation, and skills development. Meeting and exceeding performance targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Working Together Collaborating with participants to shift their mindset and build the confidence they need to find and sustain work. Engaging with local employers to identify job opportunities. Signposting participants to internal and external stakeholders to address specific barriers such as health, housing, or financial challenges. Promoting the Connect to Work programme within the community to generate referrals, raising awareness of it's benefits and impact. Housing Solutions Officer We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Housing Solutions Officer to join our Housing Solutions & Prevention Service. The postholder will play an integral role in delivering early intervention and homelessness prevention in accordance with the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 . Working directly with households at risk of homelessness, you will provide tailored and comprehensive housing advice, negotiate with landlords and family members, develop Personal Housing Plans, and support clients to sustain accommodation wherever it is safe and appropriate to do so. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014, effective case management skills, and a clear commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals to achieve positive and sustainable housing outcomes. We are looking for a compassionate, resilient and motivated Modern Slavery Outreach Advocate to join a specialist frontline support service helping adults and families recover from exploitation, rebuild their lives and reduce the risk of re-trafficking. About the Role As a Modern Slavery Outreach Advocate, you will manage a caseload of individuals who have experienced modern slavery or human trafficking, providing practical, emotional and advocacy support throughout their recovery journey. Working closely with partner agencies, you'll help clients access accommodation, healthcare, financial support, legal advice and other essential services while ensuring their safety and wellbeing remain at the centre of everything you do. Your responsibilities will include: Managing a varied caseload of survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking Completing risk and needs assessments and developing person-centred support plans Supporting clients through the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) process Providing practical and emotional support to promote recovery and independence Working in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations to achieve positive outcomes Maintaining accurate case records and meeting contractual performance targets Advocating on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the support and services they are entitled to Promoting safeguarding and ensuring appropriate action is taken where risks are identified. About You We're looking for someone who has experience working with vulnerable adults, children or individuals with complex needs and who understands the importance of delivering trauma-informed, person-centred support. You'll ideally have: Experience supporting vulnerable people within a needs-led service Experience completing risk assessments, support planning and managing complex cases Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children Excellent communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills The ability to work independently whilst managing competing priorities Strong organisational and record-keeping skills Confidence using Microsoft Office and case management systems A compassionate, non-judgemental and resilient approach to supporting people experiencing crisis. Knowledge of modern slavery, human trafficking, the National Referral Mechanism (NRM), safeguarding, homelessness or related legislation would be highly advantageous. What's on Offer?
