The Role We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Point Glue Operative to join our production team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideal for someone with experience in gluing operations, packaging machinery, or similar industrial processes. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate multi-point gluing machines to ensure accurate High-quality product output Optimise and monitor machine performance, adjust settings and perform routine maintenance as needed Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications Troubleshoot issues and communicate with the maintenance team when necessary Maintain a clean and safe working environment Complete production records and follow company procedures To work safely in accordance with Smurfit Westrock procedures Skills, Experience & Qualifications Previous experience operating multi-point glue machines (preferred) Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job sheets Comfortable working to deadlines and production targets Strong teamwork and communication skills The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate and value safe working and be able to communicate effectively throughout our business including suppliers. Location & Hours We are hiring a Mutti Point Gluer Operator working a continental 12hour rota shift pattern at our industry leading conversion plant on junction 29a of the M1. Based at their Nottingham facility, they are currently seeking a folder gluer operator to work within their busy food packaging department. If you have experience of operating machines from any other manufacturing industry, such as print, beverage, pharmaceutical, plastic etc., I d love to hear from you! You will work on the double day shift (Mon-Fri 6am - 13.30pm, 13.30pm - 9pm ) and some flexibility is required as you will work on the day shift during quieter periods The Role Make ready carton board packaging Run nested gluing machine / folder gluers Ability to problem solve and monitor own quality control measures Ensure smooth day-to-day running of machinery and products Excellent team working and communication skills Participate in continuous development and training Excellent housekeeping and operator maintenance practices The Person Machine operating experience within a manufacturing environment Ideally operated a Bobst Alpina, Jagenberg, Heiber & Schroeder but alternative experience will be considered Able to demonstrate a self-motivated and focused approach.
