Class 2 Driver required for a business in Tottenham, North London. We are seeking a reliable, professional and customer-focused Class 2 (Category C) HGV Driver with previous multi-drop delivery experience to join our client's busy team. Contract: Temporary to Permanent £18.10 per hour, holiday pay accrued, PAYE Contract Location: Tottenham Hours: Start times vary depending on the allocated route. Monday to Friday with additional hours available during busy periods, however must be comfortable with starting as early as 5am. Duties of the Class 2 Driver role: Complete multi-drop deliveries throughout Greater London and surrounding areas. Carry out and document daily vehicle safety checks before each shift. Ensure all loads are secured safely before commencing deliveries. Work alongside a driver's mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently. Assist with loading and unloading using the vehicle's tail lift and electric pallet truck. Deliver goods to customer premises, checking delivery accuracy and obtaining proof of delivery. Complete all delivery paperwork, driver logs and required documentation accurately. Collect returned goods when required. Follow planned delivery routes whilst adapting to traffic conditions where necessary. Comply with Drivers' Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and all road transport legislation. Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at all times. What we would like from you as a Class 2 Driver: Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence. Valid Driver CPC qualification. Valid Digital Tachograph Card. No more than 6 penalty points (clean licence preferred). Previous multi-drop delivery experience. Good geographical knowledge of Greater London. Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Tachograph Regulations. Strong communication and customer service skills. Experience within a transport or logistics environment.
