The successful candidate will be experienced in the following: Must have previous experience with ASM Sequoia / CDS for customs declarations Prepare and submit import customs declarations predominantly for road freight and occasionally ocean freight shipments Complete and managed IPAFFS notifications for applicable shipments Liasing with customers transport operators port, carriers and goverment agencies to ensure smooth custom clearance Verify commerical documentation Ensure correct tariff classifications customs procedures valuation and orgin requirements are applied Maintain accurate customs records in accordance with HMRC compliance requirements Provide excellent customer service Minimum 2-3 year's import customs entry experience Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 pa depending on experience Quarterly bonus scheme if Company meets budget targets Company pension scheme Annual Leave: 20 days per annum, increasing by one day for every one year's continuous service up to a maximum of 25 days

This role is ideal for an experienced freight professional with import and export knowledge, or junior candidates looking to build a long-term career in logistics. You'll be working across air, road, and sea freight , managing shipments from start to finish and handling a wide range of import documentation and procedures. Full training will be provided for junior applicants who demonstrate strong potential and enthusiasm for the industry. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Customs Entry clerk has arisen to join highly successful Freight Forwarder in in the Ipswich area. Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm £28,000 - £32,000 DOE Plus Bonus Previous experience in processing and completing Import and export entries using CDS, for European road freight clearances and deep-sea ocean freight clearances. Confidence in navigating HMRC's online tariffs (UK online trade tariff and other .Gov resources) with a solid understanding of customs commodity codes, procedures and CDS requirements. Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements, as well as an understanding of Origin and Preference. Experience of a wide range of entry declarations (including home use, returned goods, temporary import/export, multiple item). Experience with CNS and Destin8 port systems. Our forwarding software is Multifreight/Multished, experience with this software would be beneficial. Able to calculate and process customs duties and taxes, ensuring efficient clearance of goods through ports of entry. Confidence in communicating with customs authorities, shipping agents, internal departments, and clients to resolve issues and provide guidance Able to raise T1 documents and knowledge regarding the transit procedure. Job creating and invoicing. Strong attention to detail, ensuring work meets the AEO standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
