Duties of an HGV Technician: Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and scheduled maintenance. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults. Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections in line with DVSA standards. Complete repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, and other general maintenance. Accurately complete job cards and maintenance documentation. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Maintain a clean and organised working environment. Requirements of an HGV Technician Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician. Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills. Good understanding of DVSA standards and compliance requirements. NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds would be desirable A positive attitude and strong attention to detail. Full UK Driving licence HGV licence is desirable but not essential.
