Our client, a successful and growing accountancy practice is recruiting for an Accounts & Tax Manager to join the rural accounts and advisory team at the firm s Kettering office. The ideal candidate will be ACCA or ACA qualified, and /or CTA. The varied client base includes landed estates, farms and rural businesses, and equine and bloodstock and as Accounts & Tax Manager you will provide a bespoke accountancy and tax planning services to each client. The successful candidate will also play a key role in developing the team, both through business development and staff development. As Accounts & Tax Manager your responsibilities will include: Manage a portfolio of rural clients which will involve significant internal liaison, meetings with clients, approve technically robust tax computations, identify technical issues, deliver complex tax advisory outcomes, maintain technical knowledge, and provide exceptional client service in line with the firm s Service Charter Demonstrate exceptional technical knowledge and deliver this to clients through robust, effective advisory reporting and guidance Manage and develop the team, conduct reviews, provide feedback, delegate appropriately, and build a confident, technically capable team Drive process efficiency and technology adoption, oversee WIP and billing, maintain compliance trackers, drive team productivity through recoveries and chargeable output, ensure files meet quality standards, and support client onboarding Identify advisory opportunities both within existing clients and new clients, support partners on complex client matters and attend external events to build personal and the firm s profile Collaborate with other teams and contribute to wider firm initiatives including best practice and technology projects Please do apply if you fit the profile below: Qualified ACA or ACCA and/or CTA with exposure to a varied client base Significant tax and accounts experience gained within a UK accountancy practice Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS105, FRS102 1A, Income Tax, VAT, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Trusts and Estates and HMRC Investigations A keen and insightful appreciation of the issues facing rural clients and an ability to deliver bespoke tax solutions to meet their needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Analytical and commercial approach to resolving issues Live within commuting distance Willing to work outside normal hours if necessary Submit your CV for this Accounts & Tax Manager role Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications for this role from candidates that do not have the right to work in the UK, or require visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
