This position is ideal for a Senior Conveyancer, Conveyancing Team Leader, Technical Conveyancer or former Head of Conveyancing with over 10 years experience in the industry that is looking to use their expertise in a broader leadership role, with extensive conveyancing experience, who wants to step away from managing a permanent caseload and instead use their expertise to develop colleagues, improve technical standards and support operational performance across the business. You will work closely with Directors and the Senior Legal Team, providing technical leadership, coaching Fee Earners, auditing legal work and stepping into live caseloads when required. This is not a traditional fee-earning role, and you will not carry a permanent caseload. Responsibilities include: Developing Fee Earners Residential Conveyancing knowledge and expertise. Support and mentor newly appointed Fee Earners. Review live and completed files during induction and probation. Assess technical competence and identify training needs. Sign off key stages of transactions where appropriate. Deliver one-to-one training to help colleagues become confident and independent conveyancers. Quality Assurance & Training: Work with existing Fee Earners where improvements are needed by: Auditing files and identifying legal or procedural risks. Good experience of the code of conduct for the regulator. Experience independently managing a full conveyancing caseload. Previous experience of training staff would be an advantage but is not essential. The ability to identify legal and operational risks quickly. A genuine interest in coaching and developing others. Strong communication and organisational skills. The confidence to work autonomously and support senior management. CLC, CILEX or Solicitor qualification is desirable but not essential where significant practical experience can be demonstrated.
