Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and plant equipment. Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and electronic faults. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and MOT preparation. Assess vehicle defects and recommend repair solutions. Complete repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and workshop standards. Interpret technical data, service instructions and manufacturer updates. Recover, drive and manoeuvre vehicles and equipment where required. Maintain accurate job cards, timesheets and maintenance records. Requisition and order parts as required. Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and workshop procedures. Support workshop productivity and efficiency targets. Assist in the training and development of apprentices where required. Requirements Essential NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Proven experience working on commercial vehicles, fleet vehicles, HGVs or plant equipment. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Mechanical and electrical repair experience. Full UK Driving Licence. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Desirable HGV Licence. MOT Tester qualification.
