Workday Technical Consultant - Cambridge We're Hiring | Workday Technical Consultant - Cambridge Location: Cambridge, UK Model: Hybrid (2 days on site weekly) Salary: £60k to £90k (Depending on experience) Workday Technical Consultant required for a leading client based inCambridge. This role is responsible for delivering technical solutions across the People Systems landscape, managing the pipeline of technical change, and ensuring the effective operation of Workday and related HR applications. You'll combine strong Workday technical expertise with experience in solution delivery, service management, and system support. Key responsibilities include managing incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs, maintaining system performance, security, and governance, and working closely with the Technical Solution Owner to deliver scalable solutions aligned with the wider People Systems architecture. The organisation uses Workday as its core HR platform, including HCM, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Peakon, Learning, and VNDLY, alongside PageUp for recruitment. You'll oversee delivery, incident, and day-to-day service management, ensuring HR systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. Key skills and responsibilities Act as the Workday technical expert, providing guidance on best practice configuration, development, and solution design. Lead the delivery of technical changes across the HR systems roadmap, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions. Manage Workday releases, development cycles, and service transitions into BAU support. Oversee 2nd/3rd line support, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed SLAs. Drive system performance, security, governance, and adherence to ITIL, change management, and architectural standards. Build capability within the HR Solutions team through coaching and knowledge sharing. Manage third-party suppliers to ensure successful project delivery and technical expertise. Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and business-focused People Systems solutions.

We're looking for an experienced Workday HCM Lead to play a key role in the support, optimisation and ongoing development of a large-scale Workday environment. This is a senior position combining hands-on configuration expertise with technical leadership, stakeholder engagement and team mentoring. Key Responsibilities Provide SME expertise across Workday HCM modules including Core HCM, Organisations, Staffing Models, Compensation, Absence, Talent and Performance. Lead the design, configuration and continuous improvement of Workday solutions. Act as the escalation point for complex incidents and service issues. Facilitate workshops and translate business requirements into functional solutions. Provide technical leadership, assurance and mentoring to consultants and analysts. Support testing, releases, enhancements and regulatory changes. Engage with senior stakeholders and provide clear recommendations and guidance. Experience Required Strong Workday HCM configuration experience. Experience leading Workday implementations, support functions or optimisation programmes. Excellent understanding of end-to-end HR processes. Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills. Experience mentoring or leading teams.
