Key responsibilities - Coordinate and schedule planned maintenance, preventative service and reactive repairs for forklift truck fleets across multiple sites. - Manage and prioritise service calls, allocate engineers and resources to meet SLAs and customer requirements. - Act as primary point of contact for customers regarding service bookings, status updates and escalations. - Maintain accurate job records, service histories and parts usage in the service management system. - Monitor inventory of spare parts and consumables; raise purchase requests and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely availability - Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and equipment safety standards; support engineer training and competency checks Skills and experience required - Proven experience as a service co-ordinator or similar role specifically coordinating forklift truck service and maintenance activities. - Strong technical understanding of forklift truck systems (hydraulics, electrical, engines) and common service/repair requirements. - Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage a busy workload - Experience scheduling field engineers and managing parts logistics. - Good IT skills; experience with service management systems, MS Office (Excel/Outlook). - Clear, professional communicator with strong customer service skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage escalations effectively. - Leadership skills with experience mentoring or supervising field technicians. - Relevant qualifications or trade background in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred; forklift service experience is desirable

Instrument Technician (Days) - Permanent Location: Ayrshire, Scotland Salary: £55,000 + Pension + Overtime + Excellent Training & Development An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Instrument Technician with compex 01-04 to join a well-established, high-performing manufacturing site operating within a highly regulated process environment. This is a permanent dayshift position , offering an excellent work-life balance alongside long-term career development. The successful candidate will become a key member of a close-knit maintenance team and will play an important role in mentoring and supporting the development of a younger engineering team , making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys sharing knowledge and helping others progress. The Role You will be responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive instrumentation maintenance across the site, ensuring plant reliability, safety and operational performance. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on plant instrumentation. Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and safely. Maintaining and calibrating instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, flow, pH and control valves. Ensuring all work is completed in line with site safety procedures and permit-to-work systems. Completing maintenance documentation and updating SAP records accurately. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance activities. Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maximise plant availability. Acting as a mentor to junior technicians and apprentices, supporting their technical development. What We're Looking For Minimum of two years' experience as an Instrument Technician within a process manufacturing, chemical or heavy industrial environment. Compex 01-04 HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline. Strong fault-finding, calibration and instrumentation maintenance experience. Knowledge of Functional Safety or Machine Safety would be advantageous. Experience working in hazardous areas (ATEX); Electrical maintenance experience would be beneficial but is not essential. Salary & Benefits £55,000 basic salary. Permanent dayshift role. Excellent pension scheme with company contributions of up to 12%, depending on employee contributions. Significant overtime opportunities, dependent on plant requirements. Comprehensive technical training including opportunities to gain: CompEx certification. Functional Safety training.
